Radio: Programme Director, French Radio London

French Radio London Limited is launching a new 24/7 DAB radio service in London (and UK-wide online) for Francophone and Francophile listeners. FRL is a music-based service, entirely focussed on the rich variety of London life and its busy inhabitants, supplying fresh, relevant and entertaining information and will broadcast almost entirely in French. We will start test broadcasts this coming October, and launch our live service early November. Our offices are near Marylebone train station.
We are looking for a talented and motivated radio professionals to join our team as a Programme Director.
This key role requires a solid track record of success in top to bottom management of the entire output of the station, including scheduling, branding, coaching and presenting. Good working knowledge of broadcast systems such as RCS or Myriad will be essential, whilst a creative flair will be required too. Excellent man-management skills are clearly important, as well as a thorough and organised approach to what will undoubtedly be long days. You will also be expected to present a daily show (not breakfast).
Apart from the above skills, you’ll ideally be French, with excellent English language skills. Critical to this role is a deep understanding of London’s ‘soul’ and extensive experience of living here will be hugely important.

To assist the Editor by obtaining letters written by members on various issues for publication in the journal, prepare a list of new members for insertion in the journal, prepare and post cold calling letters.


You will use your excellent customer relation skills to build and nurture strong business relationships and constantly seek to put the customer and their needs first. You will also be required to operate the membership database so knowledge of a CRM system would be advantageous but training will be given.
